About Steve
I have over 30 years of experience as a multi-disciplined Graphic Designer and over 17 years as a Web Developer (specialising in WordPress).
My design career started when my school art teacher said: “I think you should become a graphic designer”. Thanks, Mr Barker.
After school, I attended a two-year BTEC course in Graphic Design with a specialism in photography. I then continued with a two-year Higher BTEC in Promotional Graphics and Advertising. I enjoyed my time at art college tremendously.
As a Designer, I have worked for companies specialising in t-shirt design, advertising, art direction, direct mail, concept design, packaging design, brand design and web design/development.
I have worked as a Designer, Senior Designer, Studio Manager and Creative Head running small teams and mentoring juniors.
My Hobbies
I have several hobbies which include photography, drawing, playing guitar and writing. Recently I signed up to Domestika and have taken several of their online creative courses. Please see my experience page for specific details.
